Dave has over 40 years of experience in the wood products industry working with Fortune 500, national accounts, and international companies.
Experience:
- Most recently, Dave was Business Development Director at Advanced Nano Adhesives, a startup company. He leveraged industry contacts in the pressure-treated wood, OSB, particleboard, MDF, EWP, and resin suppliers/ industries to move the company forward, promoting a patented technology that improves board properties and water resistance while reducing resin costs.
- Dave also worked at Troy Chemical as Technical Sales Manager, working very closely with regional sales representatives covering the western 2/3 of the United States, introducing and promoting chemicals and products used in the pressure-treated wood industry.
- While at Michelman, Inc. as the Business Development Manager for Western North America, he managed release business, including new and existing coatings and application equipment for particleboard, MDF, OSB, plywood, engineered wood products, and the rubber market.
- As the North American Business Manager at TimberWood Products, he developed and managed relationships with distributors, manufacture representatives, utilities, local governments, architects, engineers, specifiers, and developers to grow the TimberWood business and also obtained FSC Certification for TimberWood’s products.
- During his tenure with Arch Chemicals, he managed wood treatment accounts introducing new products and managing existing ones. He also developed marketing plans across North America, Chile, and China. In the Upper Midwest, he increased accounts and sales by 50% ($3MM+) while acquiring 100% of accounts from a major competitor. He managed account relationships ($30MM+), representing 17% of Arch Chemical’s total sales.
- With Georgia Pacific, he managed sales for plywood and paneling mills and developed and managed Lowe’s national account service programs while working closely with GP’s Distribution Centers across the United States.
